Dance education is our primary mission, but we also develop and cultivate the appreciation and immersion of arts through dance within our communities.
Located here in Mystic, AMA Dance Theatre offers a specialized coaching program built to emphasize the individuality, artistry, and technique of each dancer. Students earn pre-professional certified training as well as pre-injury and health counseling classes, which help to build their confidence, technique, and dance repertoire. During our lessons, dancers are prepared for internationally recognized exams, auditions, and obtain stage experience participating in important performances, community outreaching, and ballet scholarship competitions.
AMA Dance Theatre’s excellence in teaching includes the AMERICAN BALLET THEATRE® National Training Curriculum, the Nan Giordano Certificate Program® in jazz technique, and the International Dance Council - CID/UNESCO’s International Certification of Dance Studies, a validation of teaching applicable all over the world.
In our first two seasons students have been accepted in the best dance education schools around the world, such as American Ballet Theatre, Boston Ballet, Bolshoi Ballet Academy, Dance Theatre of Harlem, Joffrey Ballet, Alonzo Lines Kings Ballet, and The Royal Ballet. As well finalists and top 20 in international ballet competitions.
The ABT® National Curriculum Training is a breakthrough 9 level program that combines high quality artistic training with the basics of dancer health and child development. The ABT® National Training Curriculum consists of a comprehensive set of age-appropriate, outcome-based guidelines to provide the highest quality ballet training to dance students of all ages and skill levels. Pre-Primary through Level 5 will be taught by ABT® Certified Teacher and our Director, Felipe Puletini, who has successfully completed the ABT® Teacher Training Intensive in Pre-Primary through Level 5 of the ABT® National Training Curriculum.
The NGCP® brings a syllabus with the jazz foundation that ensures that the certified teacher can pass on the tradition of excellence and excitement that began with Gus Giordano, the grounded technique, the style and the history of the American Jazz Dance.

Equipped with sprung subfloor system making the dance studio environment safe for movement activities by absorbing the shock and impact of motion.
